Glamour and Hollywood feeling under the sign of the perfect wave
At a large two-day anniversary event with customers, partners and, above all, employees, the Klingele Group celebrated 103 years of history, future prospects and togetherness. Eva Briegel and guitarist Jonas Pfetzing provided a real goose bump moment with their live performance of the hit ‘Die perfekte Welle’.
The Klingele Paper and Packaging Group celebrated its customers, partners and employees in style at an epic company party in Remshalden on 15 and 16 June. The group made up for the postponed 100th anniversary event in 2020, which was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, with a cinematic event. In addition to an impressive programme, high-profile guests created a real Hollywood feeling.
After the festive opening of the evening event by the founder's grandchildren, Fiona and Dr Jan Klingele, former Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg and friend of the family Günther Oettinger, in his subsequent welcoming address, turned his attention to the pioneering role of the company, in which strong women and mothers have been demonstrating business acumen and courage since its foundation. In a fascinating Passion Talk, high-profile guests such as hairdressing world champion Dominik Buchfink, big wave surfer Freddy Olander and the announced surprise guest, the singer of the band Juli, Eva Briegel, talked to Dr Jan Klingele and presenter Helena Felixberger about their own personal perfect wave. The highlight of the evening, however, was the trailer for the new employee film, in which the employees shone in the leading roles. A talk with the management team beforehand provided a glimpse behind the scenes of the film production. Finally, the company's history was presented in an eye-catching way: an impressive Holoshow in combination with a contemporary dancer on stage impressively bridged the gap between people and digitalisation. A sign of humanity was also set by the appeal for donations for the ‘Brigitte Klingele Foundation’ to support Catholic hospice work in Stuttgart, which raised more than 15,000 euros at the company party.
Film-worthy finale: celebration for employees
The red carpet in front of the paper warehouse, which had been elaborately converted into an event location especially for the two-day celebration, provided a real Hollywood feeling the following evening. Also present: the main actors of the new employee film. What was teased the evening before was the highlight of the event: the premiere of the gripping thriller "PACK TO THE FUTURE" - by, with and for the Group's employees. Thanks to a live link to Tenerife and the other six locations involved in the shoot, everyone present was able to enjoy the film at the same time. From Remshalden to Weener, Werne, Delmenhorst, Hilpoltstein, Monjos del Penedés near Barcelona and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, there was hearty laughter and excitement - just as real cinema should be. At the climax of the evening, "And the Alfred goes to...", each individual location was honoured for its outstanding commitment and dedication during filming and then the joint and future success story was celebrated.
Fiona Klingele and Dr Jan Klingele were delighted with the positive response and summed up with satisfaction: "We are delighted that we were finally able to hold this celebration together with our customers, partners and employees after the coronavirus-related postponement. These were two impressive days that we will always look back on fondly. It will give us all the energy we need to pursue our passion for the perfect wave together. We are already looking forward to the next trip to Hollywood."
