The departments at our Weener power station
Since 2008, the EBS power plant in Weener has been supplying the neighboring paper mill with electricity and process steam over short distances.
Energy generation from alternative fuels to power energy-intensive paper production.
By utilizing approximately 180,000 metric tons of alternative fuels per year, the power plant combines energy generation and paper production in an integrated site concept.

Weener paper mill
The RDF power plant replaces around 32 million cubic metres of natural gas and other fossil primary energy sources, as well as reducing our external electricity requirements by around 80 percent. We can now cover around 90 per cent of our local energy requirements (thermal and electrical) with the power plant. By continuously investing in the plant, we are providing energy in an increasingly efficient and environmentally friendly manner, thereby increasing our independence from fossil fuels and external electricity drawn from the grid.
