Programme and contents

  • Introduction: What is the PPWR and why is it relevant? (Reform of Directive 94/62/EC, objectives such as waste reduction and recyclability).
  • Timetable: The most important deadlines (e.g. start of application from August 2026, recyclability by 2030).
  • Actors affected: Who bears which obligations in the supply chain? Definition of the "distributor".
  • Corrugated cardboard in context: Positioning corrugated cardboard as a sustainable material within the PPWR targets. Definition of packaging
  • Design for Recycling (DfR): Criteria catalogues for paper and cardboard. What does "high-quality recycling" mean for corrugated cardboard?
  • Problematic components: Dealing with coatings, adhesives and other materials that could interfere with the recycling process.
  • Labelling requirements: Correct and harmonised waste separation symbols and manufacturer information.
  • Material composition: Limit values for hazardous substances in packaging.
  • Ensuring compliance at Klingele: Specifications for raw and auxiliary materials.
  • Technical documentation & declaration of conformity: Creation and management of the necessary documents for each type of packaging.
  • Interface management: Collaboration with suppliers (packaging manufacturers) and customers.
  • Examples: Concrete solutions for the use of corrugated cardboard that meet the requirements of the PPWR.

Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received. You will receive a confirmation of registration from us.

Cancellations
You can cancel free of charge up to seven days before the seminar, after which the full seminar fee is due. You are also welcome to nominate a substitute. Please send us your cancellation in writing, also by e-mail.

Cancellation on our part
Sometimes seminars have to be cancelled for various reasons, e.g. too few registrations or illness of the speaker. We will inform you as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot recognise any claims.
