Porcelain packaging success story
Sending porcelain all over the world - but safely
Porcelain packaging success story
BHS Tabletop is the world's leading supplier of porcelain for out-of-home catering, selling around 40 million items of tableware every year. The company exports to around 100 countries - increasingly also just-in-time, no matter where in the world. Sending fragile goods on their journey is always a challenge. We now have a very special technique for this.
Product protection and flexibility
- Reduction in manual labour and material costs
- Creation of flexible packaging variants
- Increasing speed and throughput
- Ensuring a high level of product protection
The Klingele packaging experts analysed the existing packaging and explored alternatives. The Klingele machine consultants took stock of the existing machines and premises.
Combined solution
Consisting of the proven wrapping technology of our partner AMS and packaging made of Wellpappe.
- The product is wrapped with transparent, permanently elastic film on a simple Wellpappe tray; this stabilises it and prevents it from slipping.
- "Over-wrapping" of an outer carton
- Securing with a sealing tape
Wrapping technique on a simple Wellpappe tray made of recyclable material and no bubble wrap as filling material.
- More efficient packaging process
- Higher throughput
- Product protection thanks to wrapping technology without filling material
- Reduced complaint rate and satisfied customers
- Recyclable packaging
The packaging adapts perfectly to the respective packaged goods. This means we can easily prepare different products as well as large and small batches for dispatch in any order.
