Growing mushrooms yourself at home, keeping them moist and harvesting them - and all in Wellpappe shipping packaging? Our customer Kernser Edelpilze has turned this into a business model with its "mushroom factory". The set consists of a mushroom substrate block, which is enriched with a grain mixture and water. Integrated into a cardboard box, it is then sent to the end customer in a parcel. Once there, they then use the shipping packaging as a substrate tray in which to grow the mushrooms. Six to eight varieties are currently on offer. Customers have to spray the substrate twice a day - and they can harvest after just 5-12 days. A concept that has been a success with our moisture-resistant and cleverly designed packaging - which also perfectly matches the natural contents with its sustainability.
