We let colours speak: High-quality printed packaging as a marketing tool
At the point of sale, good packaging often makes all the difference. It represents the value of a brand, attracts attention and is often the first link between the brand and the consumer. Its most important task is therefore to promote sales. We offer you the best conditions for success.
The printing on the packaging plays an important role here, because up to 80% of purchasing decisions are also based on colour (study by Loyola University Maryland, USA). Corrugated board packaging can therefore be optimally used in the marketing mix due to its excellent printability. In connection with its advantages in terms of sustainability and cost-effectiveness, corrugated board is therefore the ideal packaging material.
Packaging printing: We let your brand shine
With all these advantages, however, it is crucial that your packaging really fits in with your marketing objectives and fulfils your expectations not only visually, but also from a process and cost perspective. To achieve this, we draw not only on our many years of experience in printing technology, but also on our in-depth understanding of customer needs. Whether you are a food manufacturer that wants to advertise its products in an eye-catching way at the point of sale, or a start-up whose company and product philosophy emphasises brand development and sustainability: We will work with you to develop the right solution for your requirements.
To do this, we first advise you - virtually or on site - on the best printing process for your order and ensure that you benefit from an optimum combination of print quality and cost efficiency. Virtual consultation formats in particular offer us the opportunity to quickly and easily bring in experts from other areas and thus quickly clarify open questions. The expertise of our high-performance pre-press department in our plants plays a particularly important role here. Thanks to our expert printing advice, we have already been able to successfully convert many an offset carton to HQPP (High Quality Postprint) flexo printing.
As soon as your packaging design has been finalised, we determine the substrate that best suits the selected printing process and your print image. Depending on your requirements, we print using flexographic preprint, flexographic postprint or digital printing. This allows us to harmonise packaging design and printing in the best possible way.
For all printing processes, data preparation, scanning, image processing, retouching if necessary, colour management and, if requested by the customer, layout creation are carried out in our pre-press department. Here we can discuss and implement any possible or necessary adjustments to the printed image.
By bundling all quality-relevant issues in the pre-press stage, you can not only be sure that the layout is exactly as planned, but also that the colours and images are optimally matched and printed. Thanks to 3D animations of the printed image on the packaging, we are able to view the result from all sides together with you at an early stage and make adjustments to the design. In addition to the coordination via 3D animation, we create prototypes and models in digital printing so that you can see, touch and experience the packaging before the actual production.
In collaboration with our cliché manufacturers, we then identify further potential for a smooth production process, but also for saving resources. By reducing the amount of ink applied, for example, costs can be reduced and productivity increased without the packaging losing its radiance and recognition value.
State-of-the-art technology for sophisticated print products
On printing presses with up to seven inking units including coating (gloss, matt and anti-slip coating), with state-of-the-art colour management and quality assurance technology, we produce high-quality flexo printing for the highest quality requirements as an alternative to offset printing.
We have set completely new standards with our High Board Line rotary die-cutter CorruCUT from Koenig & Bauer in Delmenhorst: with its six colours including varnish, it achieves lifelike printing results even on uncoated surfaces. This year, our Werne site will receive a machine of the same type - further optimised and with new features.
Consistent print quality
For you, our investment in state-of-the-art printing technology means, above all, consistently high and reliable quality according to your specifications. The fact that we spectrophotometrically read the colours we have printed for our customers to date also contributes to this. A camera also recognises possible print fluctuations via a fully automatic sheet control system and automatically ejects faulty sheets. Whether high quality flexo in direct printing, preprint processes in cooperation with our long-standing partners or digital printing for small and medium print runs: we have the technology and expertise required for every need.
Printing sustainable packaging
For us, however, printing expertise does not necessarily mean always utilising all our capacities to the full. Especially when packaging is intended to convey a sustainable image, a subtle colour design often achieves a stronger effect: packaging with a brown outer cover and alternatively white filigree printing or multi-coloured accents - depending on the product - does not fail to make an impact at the point of sale and supports the sustainable character of the packaging. Sustainability is not a "fig leaf" for us: our corrugated cardboard is based on sustainable raw materials and is easily recyclable, we use water-based inks for printing and we use glue made from vegetable starch to produce the corrugated cardboard sheets on the corrugator.
Whether multi-coloured with varnish or simple, plain prints: together we can achieve great effects and contribute to the value of your packaging and product. We would be happy to show you personally how we can showcase your products - just get in touch!
