Whether stable corrugated cardboard trays for logistics and retail or hygienic cardboard trays for fresh products - together we are expanding our portfolio and creating even more opportunities for our customers.
New paths in the packaging world: Klingele and Maistapack united
We are taking a further step towards innovation and sustainability by acquiring a strategic stake of 50 per cent in the Austrian family business Maistapack.
Opportunities for our customers
Through this partnership, we are expanding our expertise and our portfolio and offering you access to a wide range of other pioneering packaging solutions. Above all, by specialising in solid board and fine flute, we can offer new products that are convincing both in logistics and in the fresh food sector.
An alliance for the future
Maistapack, founded in 2016, specialises in high-quality packaging - from fibre-based thermoforming trays to sustainable fruit and vegetable packaging. The products are characterised by innovative materials such as grass paper and finishes such as embossing or glossy foiling.
Maistapack licence crates
Sturdy, environmentally friendly, patented corrugated cardboard crates. The special stack construction, the wide support edges and the manufacturing method enable the construction of stable stacks. This reduces the need for additional securing material, which saves costs and time as well as reducing the use of plastic.
Hygienic thermoformed cardboard trays
Thermoformed cardboard trays, perfect for meat, fish or cheese. Direct food contact possible.
Cardboard baking tray
Ideal for oven and microwave use and replaces conventional plastic or aluminium packaging. With customised printing and food-safe materials, it is the perfect solution for environmentally friendly and safe packaging!

Sustainability as a principle
All packaging continues to use recyclable materials and minimises the use of plastic. Thanks to offset and flexographic printing, designs are created that are not only environmentally friendly but also visually impressive.

With this investment, we are tapping into the Austrian market and focusing on long-term growth - also through the planned construction of a new plant that is optimally tailored to Maistapack's requirements. This cooperation represents an important step forward for both partners: Klingele contributes its financial strength and process expertise, while Maistapack impresses with additional sales know-how and creativity.
