Klingele changes the name of three German companies
The Klingele Paper & Packaging Group, a leading independent manufacturer of corrugated base paper and corrugated packaging, is in the process of changing the names of three Klingele companies in Germany.
The three complementary companies, which have so far had the legal form of a GmbH, will in future be replaced by the European company ‘SE’, Societas Europaea. Specifically, these designations will change:
• Klingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co. KG will become Klingele Paper & Packaging SE & Co. KG
• Klingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co. KG Wellpappenwerk Werne will become Klingele Paper & Packaging Werne SE & Co. KG
• Klingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co. KG Papierfabrik Weener is to become Klingele Paper Weener SE & Co. KG
The change of name is purely a matter of nomenclature; the legal identity of the company will continue and all the companies' legal transactions will remain in force. All existing contracts, terms and conditions of sale, delivery and general terms and conditions, as well as all identifiers (e.g. VAT registration number) associated with the companies, will remain valid without change.
The changes are already legally effective with their entry in the respective commercial registers.
‘With our company names, we want to represent both our paper and corrugated board packaging divisions as well as our internationality in the future,’ comments Dr. Jan Klingele, managing partner of the Klingele Paper & Packaging Group. ’We are convinced that the new company names better reflect the rapidly advancing internationalisation of our group and the global requirements of our business. Of course, this does not change our character as a family-owned company that thinks and acts for the long term, nor our close ties with our German customers, partners and suppliers.’
An international outlook
In recent years, Klingele has tapped into new markets with good growth prospects through the European alliance of Blue Box Partners, but above all through its own acquisitions and participations in Cuba, Scandinavia, Mauritania, Senegal, Brazil and Guadeloupe. At the end of 2019, the company standardised its brand presence and adapted it to its increased international profile. Since then, Klingele has been operating under the umbrella brand ‘Klingele Paper & Packaging Group’, which replaced the previous name ‘Klingele Papierwerke’.
