Remshalden, 21 January 2025 – The Klingele Paper & Packaging Group is entering into a partnership with the innovative family-owned company Maistapack in Austria. Through this collaboration, the supplier of paper and packaging solutions made of corrugated board is tapping into this new market with additional sustainable products. At the same time, Klingele is selling its shares in the UK sheetfeeder plant, Onboard Corrugated Limited.
This new partnership with Maistapack enables Klingele to offer even more sustainable and forward-looking packaging solutions in Germany, Austria and other markets. This is a valuable addition to Klingele’s existing product portfolio and solutions.
We look forward to partnering with Maistapack in order to offer our customers even more applications eliminating plastic and replacing it with fiber-based materials. This applies, for example, to plastic, EPS or aluminium-based packaging that has been common up to now. As a result, we continue to increase our contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. The Austrian market emphasizes particular importance to sustainability. That's why it makes sense to tap into it with our recyclable and environmentally friendly products.

The products include various paper-based fruit and vegetable packaging, special packaging in solid board and ultra-fine flute, many variants of multi-point bonding as well as fibre-based thermoforming trays that are also suitable for direct contact with food. These products are now also part of Klingele's expanded portfolio and can be individually printed to enhance the impact of a brand.
