Dr. Jan Klingele

• Born on 12 December 1962 in Heidelberg to Dr. Werner Fred Klingele and Dr. Brigitte Klingele
• Schooling in Stuttgart
• Studied Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen
• Doctorate in Economics at the University of Hohenheim and the Anderson Graduate School of Management (UCLA) in Los Angeles on “The Development of Multinational Corporations”
• Work experience abroad in the USA, Switzerland, South Africa, Spain, Australia and Canada
• Took charge of the family-owned group Klingele Papierwerke following his father’s death in 1992
• President of the Association of German Corrugated Board Manufacturers VDW from 2010 to 2016
• Vice President of the European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers (FEFCO) till 2012, President from 2016 to june 2020 and Vice President since june 2020.
• Active in numerous other associations e.g. on the committee of the Land Confederation of Industry (LVI); the advisory board of the Association of Packing Paper and Corrugated Board (Vereinigung Pack- und Wellpappenpapiere); Deputy Chairman of the Paper Processing Trade Associations (Wirtschaftsverbände Papierverarbeitung WPV); President of the Industrial Customer Energy Federation  Großabnehmerverbandes Energie Baden-Württemberg e.V.; and many years’ service on the committee (including periods as Deputy Chairman) of the Federal Association of Young Entrepreneurs (Bundesverband junger Unternehmer BJU)
