Become a "circularity keeper" - an initiative of the German Corrugated Board Association (VDW) to promote the circular economy
The “Kreislaufbewahrer” (literally “circularity keepers”) initiative of the German Corrugated Board Association (VDW) is a nationwide campaign that aims to promote the recycling of corrugated board and raise awareness of the proper disposal of packaging materials.
Aim of the initiative
The "Kreislaufbewahrer" initiative aims to optimise the material cycle of corrugated cardboard by encouraging consumers to dispose of corrugated cardboard correctly and in a space-saving manner. This should help to utilise waste paper bins more efficiently, improve recycling processes and keep valuable raw materials in the cycle.
Why is the initiative important?

"Kreislaufbewahrer - Mach's klein, dann geht mehr rein" stickers: these stickers are designed to remind consumers to tear up or flatten cardboard boxes and cartons before disposing of them in order to optimise the use of space in waste paper bins.
For waste disposal companies:
Stickers and starter communication packs: Waste management companies can obtain stickers for their waste paper bins and receive communication packs to spread the message of the initiative via press relations and social media.
For packaging industries and e-commerce:
Packaging imprint "Become a cycle keeper": Companies can print the initiative's logo on their packaging to emphasise their choice of sustainable materials and remind consumers to recycle. Communication packs: Interested companies can register and request communication materials to support the initiative and spread the message further.
The "Kreislaufbewahrer" initiative is an important step towards further improving the material cycle of Wellpappe in Germany. By involving consumers, waste disposal companies and packaging industries, the aim is to increase the efficiency of recycling and promote the sustainable use of resources.
